Solar Grid Market — Live Prototype

We've connected the Foundation's research wallet to a public, browseable demo of the Solar Grid Market. It shows how kWh-footprinted digital artifacts and energy records can be priced and exchanged in Solar units (1 Solar = 4,913 kWh). This is a research prototype intended for transparency and community review—not a commercial offering.

Genius Act Compliance — Working Theory

The Foundation is developing an internal compliance framework referred to as the "Genius Act" to guide responsible research and public-benefit operations. The points below are draft principles under community/legal review. They describe intent, not finalized policy or legal advice.

1) Data Dignity & Privacy
  • User data minimization; no sale of personal data.
  • Clear purpose limitation for telemetry and analytics; opt-out where feasible.
  • Default non-custodial posture for wallets; user retains control of keys where applicable.
2) Energy-Backed Accounting (kWh→Solar)
  • Transparent price equations linking artifacts to energy footprint (kWh) and Solar unit equivalence.
  • Ledger entries include provenance, timestamp, and conversion factors for auditability.
  • Retire-on-redemption model for energy delivery claims (where PPAs/RECs integrate in future phases).
3) Safety, Human Oversight & Model Governance
  • Human-in-the-loop review for material changes, model updates, and policy shifts.
  • Documented model sources, assumptions, and limitations for any AI-assisted pricing or ranking.
  • Incident response runbooks and rollback capabilities for erroneous listings or balances.
4) Market Integrity (Research Mode)
  • No promises of financial return or tradability; prototype is for demonstration and feedback.
  • Anti-fraud checks on artifact metadata; clear "prototype" labeling on all user-visible flows.
  • Public changelog for breaking changes and deprecations.
5) Legal & Regulatory Orientation
  • Jurisdictional scan for consumer protection, digital assets, and energy credit interfaces.
  • AML/KYC readiness designs for any future fiat on-/off-ramps (not active in the prototype).
  • Foundation vs. PBC role separation and arm's-length assistance to preserve public-benefit mandate.
6) Environmental Reporting
  • Disclosure of energy accounting assumptions and generator sources when available.
  • Plans for third-party verification of renewable claims in future phases.

Disclaimer: The "Genius Act" items above are evolving research guidelines. They do not constitute legal policy, certification, or compliance attestation. Final documentation will be published after expert review.

What the Prototype Shows

  • Daily GBI demo flow (1 Solar/day research setting).
  • Artifact listing with automatic kWh→Solar pricing.
  • Browseable grid UI for public transparency.

What It Does Not Do

  • No commercial listings or sales; prototype interactions are sandboxed.
  • No fiat ramps, no securities features, and no promises of value accrual.
  • No production PPA/REC settlement—those integrations are planned for later phases.
